Four Moments We Stop And Check Before An Order Ships

by EnovStars 03 Nov 2026 0 comments

Quality is not a final inspection bolted onto the end of a run. It is four decisions taken at fixed points, each one early enough that a problem can still be fixed without remaking the order.

1. Pre-production: the sample is the specification

Before bulk starts, the approved sample becomes the reference. We check measurements against the points-of-measure table, review the pattern and fit, and send photos and the measurement sheet to you in writing. Nothing is cut until you confirm. If the fit needs a change, this is the cheapest place to make it, because no fabric has been consumed yet.

2. After the bulk is sewn, before logo printing: trim and inspect

The garments come off the line and are trimmed, then inspected while they are still blank. Loose threads, open seams, needle marks, uneven hems and measurement drift are caught here. This is deliberate: printing on a garment that will be rejected wastes the print as well as the garment.

3. After logo printing, before packing: check the garment and the logo

Once the logo is on, the check changes. Placement and size against the artwork, colour against the approved reference. A logo that sits two centimetres low is a remake. The same logo caught here is a correction.

4. Packing and carton: the last look before it leaves

Final inspection covers the finished piece, the count, the size ratio per carton, and the carton marks against your purchase order. Each lot gets a photo report with measurements, seams, print placement and packing, so you see what the inspector saw.

Three of these sit inside the bulk run

The pre-production approval happens before cutting. The other three happen inside production, which is why our production pages describe three checkpoints per lot. Add the sample stage and there are four moments where the order stops and someone signs off.

What happens when a check fails

We hold the lot and tell you before it ships, with the photos that show the problem. Where the fault is ours we repair, remake, or credit on your next invoice. Where the issue is a specification that was approved in writing, we show the approval and explain the difference rather than shipping and hoping.

If a lot does not match what you approved, write to us within 7 days of delivery with photos and the carton marks. The full process, including what we do not cover, is on the quality and delivery page.
